The important thing in science is not so much to obtain new facts as to discover new ways of thinking about them.

Sabrient Methodology:  A Scientific Approach

Sabrient's proprietary methodology was developed by an experienced research team led by David Brown, a former NASA scientist. Little wonder then that the team uses a scientific approach to create the multi-factor filters that are the foundation of Sabrient's systems.

Create Filters

The team selects from more than 400 factors to create a library of over 100 multi-factor "Smart Filters." Each filter targets a key area of traditional stock analysis, including value, growth, momentum, fundamentals, earnings, balance sheet, and group strength.

Extract & Score Stocks

The Smart Filters are used each week to extract stocks that exhibit the desirable attributes, but have not yet been sufficiently rewarded. Then a composite scoring system employs a range of best-performing filters to refine the rankings of the extracted stocks, or to simply rank top-to-bottom any given universe of stocks.

Backtest, Backtest, Backtest

Our outstanding performance is based in part by looking at the past to see what worked best under different market conditions and time frames. We use an adaptive process to test our Smart Filters on a continual basis under different time frames and varying market conditions. This tells us which filters are working best in the current market conditions.

The Result

The result of this scientific process is UNBIASED research that offers the HIGHEST PERFORMANCE to our clients.
